The Purchase Process: Purchasing a new home can be a very exciting experience. Depending on whether you are purchasing a completed home or a custom home, your level of participation may change. Be assured that Timberland Homes, Inc. and their business partners will be there to assist you with all your needs and questions.
The Purchase Agreement: The purchase agreement and the various disclosures will make up a legal contract between all parties. Make sure that you fully understand all components of the agreements and disclosures. Your licensed real estate professional can assist you with your questions.
Understanding Your Home: If you are purchasing a home prior to completion, you will be required to review and sign off on the building plans, plot plan and specifications. The specifications are a detailed explanation of the components and products that Timberland Homes, Inc. uses to complete the home.
These selections will include:
-Roof color
-Exterior paint, body and trim
-Stone or Brick
-Cabinets
-Hardsurfaces
-Lighting package
Inspections: Other than the required code and jurisdictional inspections required to get finally occupancy on your home, Timberland Homes Inc. will complete other walk-thru inspections with the purchaser. In a pre-sold purchase, we will meet you prior to electrical installation and sheetrock cover. At completion of your home, and after your professional inspection, we will complete a final home orientation walk-thru and set up the closing appointments.
In addition, Timberland Homes, Inc. will warrant your home for a period of one year from the date of closing. Please understand that some of the components of your home are covered by the suppliers. All warranty requests are to be in writing to Timberland Homes, Inc.
